Electric drum brakes offer the recreational caravan, trailer or RV driver a simple but effective means of controlling a vehicle in the event of an emergency.
A controller is fitted to the vehicle and the driver has manual control over the braking pressure required. Electric drum brakes are recommended for trailers over 2,000kg GTM. They are cost-effective, require very little maintenance, and give the driver excellent vehicle control. Electric drum brakes can also be fitted alongside a break away solution, in line with Australian Design Rules (ADR) requirements.
