Smart Single Adaptor
The smart signal adaptor has a resistor in it to reduce the load in the trailer brake circuit.
Reducing the load allows the vehicle to pick up, that the trailer has brakes and sway controller on it and works as intended.
It has a 47-ohm resistor between the blue wire and white wire
Whereas the Ford patch lead has 4x 120-OHM resistors to allow the Ranger and Everest to run led trailer lights.
Not the brake controller that is in the dash.
*You will still need the FORD patch lead for the SMART SINGLE ADAPTOR to work.
